Individuals residing outside the United States who plan on attending Neuroscience 2009 can request a letter of invitation from SfN. Potential attendees should request a letter four months before the meeting. Invitation letters specify meeting subject, location, and dates.
Request a letter of invitation: Submit an online request form.
Note the following:
- A letter of invitation does not guarantee issuance of a visa. The decision to issue a visa is the sole judgment of the local U.S. Embassy or Consulate. The Society cannot assist with actual visa processing.
- SfN cannot provide any financial support for travel, registration fees, or local expenses.
- Advance registration opens on July 15 for members and on July 22 for non-members. Attendees residing abroad are encouraged to register by Friday, Aug. 15 to ensure timely receipt of the meeting entry badge and program, if ordered.
- The visa invitation letter form for Awardees and Presenters is available as of May 19. Your abstract's control/tracking number will not work until then.
